SHUKR

What is SHUKR? Who is SHUKR designing for?
SHUKR is an online clothing company, creating designs that are elegant and stylish, yet also modest and comfortable. Our initial aim was to provide Muslims – particularly those living in the West – with a product that allows us to “fit in” with everyday life at school, college and work. We at SHUKR see this as a necessary development in our growing self-identity as Muslim Americans, Muslim Canadians and Muslim Europeans. Happily, we have found that our clothing also appeals to a wider market; our customer base includes people from different backgrounds and faiths who are looking for loose-fitting, comfortable yet stylish designs, something different from the typical fashions found in many stores in the West today.

Where is SHUKR UK based?
Our Canadian warehouse is in Mississauga, Ontario.

Where does SHUKR produce its clothing?
We produce our clothing in the blessed land of Damascus, Syria.

Does SHUKR have a physical store?
We currently have three physical stores. One in Amman, Jordan and two in Syria.

What is SHUKR’s pricing policy?
We try very hard to offer clothing at prices affordable to all, whether these are students or those who are employed. We also try to keep our pricing consistent. However prices may vary from time to time. SHUKR has no control over prices charged by our resellers. How do I order?

Will I get a receipt with my order?
Yes, you will receive an invoice with your order that can be used to return or exchange merchandise.

How quickly can you deliver my order?
We always aim to deliver within 5 working days. Please see our Shipping policy for more details.

At the present time, we do not accept payment by telephone or fax.

 
Is it safe to use my credit card when purchasing online?
Absolutely, we use the Internet standard encryption technology known as Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). This technology works by scrambling and encrypting all sensitive information into a highly indecipherable code. Handing over your credit card details online using SSL is safer than using the telephone, fax or mail and even safer than personally handing it to a waiter in a restaurant or the gas station clerk at an all-night station. RETURNS

What happens if I'm not entirely happy with my order when it arrives?  
If for any reason you are dissatisfied with your purchase, please return it to us for a full refund within 20 days of the purchase date. SHUKR only wants your money if you are completely happy. Please see our Returns policy for more information.

If I return a product, will I have to pay for the shipping costs?
The cost of returning the unwanted item is paid for by the customer. However, if you require an exchange, or store credit, the shipping charges to mail the exchange items to you will be covered by SHUKR.

What is SHUKR’s privacy policy?
SHUKR takes privacy very seriously. We respect your privacy and under no circumstances will we sell, rent, or loan personal information about our customers to third parties for e-mail marketing. For further information, please read our Security and Privacy policy.

What are cookies?
Client-side persistent data, more commonly known as cookies, are data stores that reside on your PC.
